Common Scanning Errors

If you are getting error messages when scanning (Ex. Scan in use) please try the following steps.

Local

  1. Unplug the scanner from power.
  2. Go to the start menu and select “Restart” (Ensure any documents, emails , etc are saved before rebooting system).
  3. Once computer has powered back on and you are signed in, plug the scanner back into power and turn on scanner.
  4. Test scanning to see that the issue resolved. 

RDS

  1. Go ahead and close all open windows and select the “Sign Out” Option from the Start Menu.
  2. While the RDS profle is signing out, unplug the scanner from power.
  3. Once the window closes and you are able to see the desktop for the “WYSE” User, open up the start menu and select the “TerminalWorks” Folder and then the “TSScan Client Settings” Option:

  4. It will open to this window, you just need to select “OK” at the bottom:

  5. Plug the scanner back into power and press the power button on the scanner to ensure it is turned on.
  6. Sign back in to RDS and test scan again.
