Duo Offline Access User Guide

Duo is set up on IT’s end and the only thing you will need to do is install the Duo App on your device, activate it and if you are logging in to your computer, configure offline access.

Offline Access

Setting up Offline access will allow you to access your computer when you don’t have any internet connection, such as when working from home. Upon first login to the computer and approving the Duo push notification, you will be prompted to Activate or skip the Offline access.

  1. 1. Click on the Activate button on the computer when presented after logging in. Once the QR Code comes up, open the Duo App on your device, once it opens click the Add+ button in the upper right.

       2. On the next screen, click Use QR Code at the top.
  1.

  2. 3. Scan the QR Code on the screen, when prompted on your device set a name for the connect (I personally name it the computer name to make it easier to keep track of them).

  1. 4. Tap save and you will be prompted on your computer to click Next. After clicking next, you will then be asked to enter a 6 digit code on the computer. This code is found under the entry you just set up on the Duo app and can be accessed by tapping the entry if you don’t see the code. Enter the code and click Okay.
